Anna Stonehouse – Piano

Anna is a piano teacher and musician now based in Cardiff. She completed a BA (Hons) Music degree at the University of Southampton in 2016, and also completed the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Jazz and Rock Week course under the guidance of famous jazz artists including Jason Rebello and Scott Stroman.

In 2017 she was commissioned to compose and perform a live piano soundtrack for a vintage movie at the Jutland Legacy Conference in Portsmouth in 2017. She also performed for the Dickens Festival of Christmas at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard in 2017 and 2018.

Anna has grown up being surrounded by folk music – she is always bobbing up and down whilst playing, and loves to ‘dance’ with the music at the piano! In 2019 she joined Strathallan, and the Scottish dance band for Corryvrechan, with whom she performed at Shrewsbury Folk Festival.
